BARRIORS: The First Year

So it has been a long time since I last posted. Let's hope I can post more in the future. Rice Cooker Studios has been taking up most of my time and will be trying to update the comic more. In the mean time, I have compiled the first year of BARRIORS into a handy carrying case called a book.

In the background you can see the Taal Volcano.

Taal Volcano is an active volcano on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is situated between the towns of Talisay and San Nicolas in Batangas. It consists of an island in Lake Taal, which is situated within a caldera formed by an earlier, very powerful eruption. It is located about 50 km from the capital, Manila. It also has the distinction of being home to the "Largest island in a lake on an island in a lake on an island". This is referring to Vulcan point, an

So I spent the day in Baltimore. This weekend is the Baltimore Comic Convention. This was my first Comic Con... I spent most of my time looking at most of the indy comics... I was able to drop off some postcards and business cards off at the free schwag table... It was incredible to see people walking around with my BARRIORS stuff...

After the Comic Con the Mrs and I were able to wander a bit around the Inner Harbor. It was nice to visit my old stomping grounds again. It was like I was back in College again...

The O's are playing the Red Socks this evening... The area was filled with Socks fans, but the Headhunter didn't seem bothered...

Sorry folks... My updating of the comics has slowed down. I am trying to get ahead--I am currently 3 ahead of the rotation. My apologies for not updating as regularly as I have been. I will try to keep up.

I have a some developing plans for October which is Filipino-American History month. So between that, the regular comic... and the paper figures, I got a full plate. Thanks for visiting...

HH at the Navy Memorial...

So while I was in DC the other night I was able to take some picts at the Navy Memorial.

This is a great memorial "honoring the men and women of the Sea Services--past, present and future."

These were in focus a little bit better than the Capitol picts...

Headhunter in DC

So I was out in DC yesterday after work. I wanted to take picts of my 'headhunter' in front of various landmarks...

I was having some focus issues... It wasn't windy, but there was a breeze that kept knocking him over. I had problems trying to focus...

Updates Galore...

So managed to update the website, the blog, and the myspace page... I don't know how many hours it took but I am finally done for the day... There is still plenty to do... I will eventually get to everything.

New to the site are this blog and the new Headhunter paper figure...

Headhunter Goes Out

So the Headhunter got to go out today. I was deserving some time off from doing all the site work and 'tooning and decide to go out for coffee with the Mrs. and start planning our February 2008 Philippines trip.

After lots of caffeine, a veggie sandwich and chicken salad wrap, we had a pretty good idea of what we want to do during our visit...

Paper Figures

This is the first post of my blog for the BARRIORS.com site. I wanted to start it off with something that would be fun.

So 'Zar at Pnoy Apparel brought to my attention an idea of his--paper figures. I actually had this idea a while back before the creation of BARRIORS. The idea was stored away and now has resurfaced. I wanted to find a cheap way of having my loyal readers bring home my characters. Paper figures were a nice and cheap way of doing that. I will eventually have the plans on my site to create the BARRIORS for you to take home with you...
Here are the BARRIORS is paper form. They will soon be available on the website. Below is a Headhunter that will soon be available on the Pnoy Apparel and BARRIORS site.
